About DirtyWaterWatch

Public waters. Public record.

Sewage reports can be hard to find when you need them. DirtyWaterWatch brings public reports together so swimmers, paddlers, rowers, anglers, parents, reporters and town officials can see what was reported, where, and when.

Public safety comes first. We show the source and time behind each report, quote official advice, and explain our own caution rules. We never declare water safe.

DirtyWaterWatch is published by InfoBakery, a small independent publisher that also runs openboatlaunch.org. The site has no ads and charges no fees.

We are an independent publisher. We are not a government agency, a water-testing service or an emergency reporting service. Our map combines public records and estimates; it does not measure conditions at your location. Follow posted signs and local health advice.

Questions and corrections

Questions, corrections or a missing public notice? Write to corrections@dirtywaterwatch.org. Include the page link, the water or operator name, and the original notice if you have it. Every page also has a "Report a data error" link at the foot that fills in the page for you.

Messages go to the people who run this site. They do not reach emergency responders; to report a spill in progress, call the state environmental agency's emergency line.

Start with your water, read the original notices and share the page with others who use it.
