"INCIDENT_REPORT": "Incident Description: Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida, around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 9, as a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour. Tallahassee began experiencing substantial impacts roughly 6 hours before landfall. With approximately 5 inches of rain and wind gusts peaking at 52mph, the storm brought down trees and power lines across our community. As a result, over 37,000 customers experienced power outages. Throughout the storm, crews actively managed wastewater flows across the City's 114 lift stations using fixed and portable generators and redirecting flows as necessary to maintain operations. While all the stations had power, three experienced brief overflows. Despite challenging conditions, including a National Weather Service flash flood warning and tornado watch, crews responded immediately and successfully contained all three overflows within 10 minutes or less. All affected areas have been cleaned, disinfected, and deodorized, and all three lift stations have returned to normal operations.
