"INCIDENT_REPORT": "On 10-20-2026 at 7:30 am staff responded to a call for a sanitary sewer overflow from sanitary sewer manhole SP-001-MH024 located at 1104 SE Mitchell Ave. Upon arrival staff noticed untreated raw sewage escaping from the manhole cover at approximately 50gpm. The initial inspection discovered that the lift station SP-01 had the heaters on pump #2 were tripped and pump #1 could not keep up pumping with the incoming flow. Staff reset the heaters, and the Lift Station pumped down and the spill ceased at 7:50 am. Approximately 1,000 gallons escaped into the grassy area and entered the storm drain structure. Staff verified it did make it into the surface water of The River Vista Waterway section of the St. Lucie River. Staff used a vacuum pumper truck to recover approximately 2,000 gallons of mixed rainwater and wastewater from the storm drain basin. An unknown amount of wastewater made it to the surface water body. Staff also washed down the affected area and spread 3 pounds of lime. Sampling is proceeding according to protocol. All regulatory agencies and PSL internal notifications are proceeding according to protocol.",
