"INCIDENT_NAME": "526 NW Lincoln Ave-2.5-inch LMP Damaged by HDD Contractor",
"INCIDENT_REPORT": "On 8/24/2026 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Utility Systems staff responded to a report of a sanitary sewer overflow from a 2.5-inch PVC low pressure sanitary sewer main located at 526 NW Lincoln Ave. Upon arrival, staff observed untreated sewage surfacing from the ground at an estimated rate of 10 gallons per minute. A vacuum pumper truck was dispatched to recover the escaping sewage, and the overflow ceased at 6:30 p.m. An estimated 300 gallons of sewage escaped into the adjacent grassy area. Approximately 270 gallons were recovered using the vacuum pumper truck, and an estimated 30 gallons (10%) percolated into the soil. Initial inspection determined that the 2.5-inch PVC low pressure main was damaged by a Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) contractor during boring operations. Repairs were completed, and the affected area was cleaned and disinfected. Approximately 2 pounds of lime were applied to the impacted area. No roads, stormwater systems, or surface waters were affected, and sampling was not required. All regulatory notifications were completed according to protocol.",
