"INCIDENT_NAME": "2484 SE Grand Dr- Damage 4-inch HDPE",
"INCIDENT_REPORT": "On 8/24/2026 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Utility Systems staff responded to a report of a sanitary sewer overflow from a 4 inch HDPE High Density Polyethylene low pressure sanitary sewer main located at 2484 SE Grand Dr. Upon arrival, staff observed untreated sewage surfacing from the ground at an estimated rate of 10 gallons per minute. A vacuum pumper truck was dispatched to recover the escaping sewage, and the overflow ceased at 9:30 p.m. An estimated 600 gallons of sewage escaped into the adjacent grassy area and swale liner. Approximately 540 gallons were recovered using the vacuum pumper truck, and an estimated 60 gallons (10%) percolated into the soil. Initial inspection determined that the 4 inch HDPE High Density Polyethylene low pressure main was damaged. Repairs were completed, and the affected area was cleaned and disinfected. Approximately 2 pounds of lime were applied to the impacted area. Sampling is required and proceeding according to protocol. All regulatory agencies have been notified.",
