"incident_comment": "On May 23, 2026, [name removed] with Woodard & Curran, the contract operator at Wolf Creek WRF, provided email notification reporting that a call was received at 11:30am on May 23, 2026, regarding an overflow that had taken place at 143 Valley St, Abingdon, VA. When staff arrived they found sewer waste in the homeowners yard. A cap had been removed from the lateral line causing the overflow. Staff used a camera and found a broken cleanout cap lodged in the private sewer line which had caused the overflow. The location of overflow was not near any waterways or watersheds. It is estimated that 5 gallons may have overflowed. The Collections team responded but the blockage was out of the town's easement. The homeowner hired a plumber to make the needed repairs. The incident was closed on May 29, 2026.",
