"incident_comment": "On May 23, 2026, [name removed] with the Russell County PSA provided email notification reporting an overflow at Banners Corner Lift Station, located at Intersection of US Hwy 58 and Banner’s Corner, Castlewood, on May 23, 2026. The PSA got a call at 9:00pm and arrived on scene at 10:00pm and noticed that the lift station had started overflowing due to a power failure. One of the electrical panels was either ripped off the mounting brackets or fell on its own and created multiple electrical issues, wires broken, equipment damaged and broken conduit. The overflow did reach a drainage basin but did not reach state waters. It was estimated that less than 1000 gallons overflowed. The overflow was stopped at 13:15 on May 24, 2026, and the lift station was repaired and back in service the same day. The incident was closed on May 29, 2026.",
