On the South Thimble Island (Portal Island No. 1) of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, the joint venture experienced a overflow from the septic tank of the mobile office trailer on site. It is approximated that 3-5 gallons was released from the tank underneath the trailer before it was noticed by staff on site and the septic system was shut down. The contents that were released were contained within the job site due to the containment wall around the base of the trailer; no materials left the job site. The joint venture immediately contacted the septic services company for repairs and cleanup operations.\n\n6/4/26 - 5-day letter received.",
