"incident_comment": "On September 12, 2026, at 9 hours, an overflow was discovered at Lift Station #7. The incident was triggered by an excessive water discharge from the Building 1705 cooling tower, which caused one lift station pump to burn out and trip the breaker, disabling the back-up pump. Containment and remediation with lime were successfully completed by 10:15 hours on the same day.\nA faulty liquid level sensor was determined as the cause for excessive amounts of cooling tower water being sent to the lift station. The sensor and back-up pump were replaced.\n\nSteps Taken to Prevent Recurrence:\n1.\tInstalled new liquid level sensor and solenoid valve.\n2.\tReplaced back-up pump in Lift Station #7 on September 15, 2026.\n\n\nOn September 16, 2026, a 5-day letter was sent to the WC manager and the document satisfied the requirement to report of unauthorized discharge. No further action required. The IR was closed.",
