"incident_comment": "On October 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m., a Prince William Water employee observed an elevated pump run time at L-28, a pump station located at 7105 Sudley Rd. Staff immediately responded to the site. On arrival, at 7:56 a.m., staff observed pump 1 was running and sewer was discharging between the concrete flat top and the manhole structure of manhole, upstream of the pump station (approximately rate of 20 gpm). The discharge flowed overland into Holkums Branch. Staff engaged pump 2 manually, and normal pump station operation was restored at 8:03 a.m. Staff investigation revealed an air lock occurred on pump 1 due to a control issue. Technicians made control and programming adjustments at the pump station to confirm lead/lag pump alternation. No solids or paper were observed in the overflow area. \n\nOn October 19, 2026. A 5-day letter was sent to DEQ. The letter was reviewed and no further action was required.",
