"INCIDENT_REPORT": "The West Lakeland Wasteload Reduction Facility (3000 Old Tampa Hwy) experienced a power outage from September 3, 2026 at 2:20pm to September 4, 2026 at 8:00am. During this time, approximately 500,000 gallons of treated wastewater overflowed the manhole on the west side of the property and entered the onsite retention pond. The entire amount is contained within the manmade retention pond. Diesel pumps are being used to recover the discharge and direct flows to the collection system for further treatment at the Glendale WRF. The City is investigating why the communication system did not give an alarm to notify plant personnel. Once the investigation is finalized, we will update the Pollution Notice. The discharge did not enter any waters of the state, nor endanger public health, safety, or welfare.",
